When the mixed-ion exchanger (mixed bed) is working properly, the negative ion and positive ion exchange resins will mix together in a certain proportion to further remove soluble ions in the water, and the output water conductance may reach 1~18M-cm when the proportion is designed different. It is applied to positive ion and negative ion exchangers and production of high purified water after electrodialysis, reverse osmosis, and demineralization equipment.
When exchange capacity of the ion exchange resin is saturated, the resin shall be recharged. The positive ions and negative ions are separated in the container to conduct acid and base recharge, and after recharge, the positive ions and negative ions are mixed again by compressed air.
