The fiber-ball filtering material is polyester fibers tied to be a ball (or flat ellipsoid), which, compared with traditional rigid particulate filtering material, has such advantages as good elasticity, not rising to the water surface, large pores, long working cycle, and less loss of water head. In the process of filtration, the voids between filtering layer will become smaller and smaller along the direction of water flow, which relatively satisfies the gradient of big-end-up void distribution of ideal filtering material. With high efficiency and filtration rate (20~50 m/h), it has large volume of contamination interception and good effect of filtration. The filtration period of fiber ball is 3 times longer than that of sand filtering material. It is renewable by back flush, and the quantity of flush water is 1~2% of quantity of filtering water.
The filters with diameter ofф1000 and above are equipped with pin gear speed reducer agitator which is started when the tube is filled with water for back flush to make the fiber-sphere filtering materials in the tube rolling and loosened for it easy to clean. It is applicable to the filtration of various kinds of water quality.
